I have new router SpeedTouch 516 version 6.
My internet provider from Poland blocked me telnet and web connection with router.
I cant change from modem to router option because I dont know how get user and password from SpeedTouch.
What I must do?

Please help me.

To unblock your Speedtouch, upgrade it with a generic firmware.

Put the Speedtouch in BootP mode (press reset button about 12 sec.) the power led blink red.

Then use the upgrade wizard

I have still problem because my ISP locked me connecting to SpeedTouch.
I don't know password to SpeedTouch.
When I try upgrade firmware I must log to router. :(

How change this situation?

How this modem have only power button?

You can put it in bootp update mode but if you do so it will wipe out all your present settings. Username and password. The ISP will not be pleased. Anyhow it's your neck!!

On the back there is a reset button. Hold in the recessed reset whilst turning on and hold in the reset for 10-12 sec until the power light flashes red to green. THen immediately update to the latest firmware. End result latest firmware and all settings lost. That is the only way.

If they have removed or covered up the reset button then I guess you will have to remove the screws, security tags, drill holes and solder a switch into the board. Say goodbye to your warranty.
Why don't you just buy a new modem on ebay or something.

Did you tried the default password "Administrator" with a blank password ?

If you are really blocked, the only way is the BootP mode.

... with StingRay warning of course about warranty...

To setup your Speedtouch after upgrade, you need to know the connection service type (PPP...) and your ISP username and password to connect.
