Setting up a SpeedTouch 510v4 / 530 Router on MAC
OSX
Click on the 'Apple' in the upper left corner of your screen
Select 'System Preferences'
Click on the 'Apple' in the upper left corner of your screen
Select 'System Preferences'
Click on 'Network'
Click on 'Network'
Ensure that the following entries are selected
Location: Automatic
Show: Built-in Ethernet
Under the TCP/IP tab enter the following:
Configure: Using DHCP
Click in 'Apply Now' and close the network window
You should now be connected
Ensure that the following entries are selected
Location: Automatic
Show: Built-in Ethernet
Under the TCP/IP tab enter the following:
Configure: Manually
IP Address: 10.0.0.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Router: 10.0.0.138
Click on 'Apply Now' and close the Network window
Click on 'Setup' under the 'Advanced' menu
Click on 'Choose File'
Click on the CD-Drive
Click on the 'fscommand' folder
Open the file 'NZ_RtPPPoA-napt_dhcp_dns.ini'
Ensure the file is entered next to 'Choose File'
Click on 'Upload'
The message below should appear
Click on 'Accept'
Click on the 'Basic' menu
Click on 'Connect' under the 'Basic' menu
Click on 'Disconnect'
Ensure the Link and State are now connected and up respectively (if they are
not, there may be an error with the username or password, so click
'Disconnect' and try again)
Click 'Save All' and close the browser
Open your Web browser (e.g. Safari)
Type 10.0.0.138 in the address bar and press enter
Click on the 'Advanced' menu on the left side of the page
