Transparent Public IP Address Pass-Through. Firmware Release R4.3 Overview The ST500 Series R4.3 firmware allows you to transparently pass the Public (WAN) IP across the router to a device connected to either the USB, ethernet or wireless Interfaces. This function is called ‘IP Passthrough’ All other NAPT entries to other devices are still in effect. UPnP also still functionsProcedure The IP Passthough function can be configured in the routers Web Interface. Instructions 1. Browse into the router by entering 192.168.1.254 into your routers web browser. 2. In the left hand menu, select ‘Home Networking’ then ‘Devices’
3. In the 'Pick a Task' menu, click on 'Assign the public IP address of a connection to a device'
4. Click 'Edit'
5. Select the Name or MAC address of the device you wish to forward the Public IP address to. Then click 'Apply'
6. Open you 'Local Area Connection Status' either through 'Network connections' or from the 'System Tray'.
7. Select the 'Support' tab and then click 'Repair'
8. Your IP Address will now be your Public(WAN) IP address.
