Speedtouch 330 Installation Guide

The first part of installing the Speedtouch 330 is to correctly install the modem software and drivers onto the computer. Once the modem software has been correctly installed the modem can be connected to the computer and the additional ADSL cabling can be connected.

Packages:

Remove the contents of the Speedtouch 330 package. This should contain the Speedtouch 330 modem, a DSL line cable and an installation CD. If you purchased the modem in a Jetstream Single-PC package from XTRA you will also have a double and single ADSL micro-filters.

On Site Wiring:

The Speedtouch 330 modem does not require any external power supply, it is powered by the PC/Mac via the USB cable. The USB cable is attached to the back of the modem and can plug into any available USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 port.

To connect the modem to the ADSL network you must plug in the DSL line cable into the back of the modem and the other end either directly into a wall socket or into the modem side of a double filter. All other telephony devices including phones, faxes, Sky digital, monitored alarm systems etc, must also be filtered.
